All Quiet on the Texas Front

...And my toes are cold. For those of you unfamiliar with the hot 'n' humid south, every building you go in is as air conditioned as folks can make it to compensate for the great outdoors. As a result of working in a very air conditioned building, I've been freezing most days this week.

Measures taken against becoming an unseasonable popsicle:
Hot cocoa and peppermint tisanes at work
Wearing sweaters every day
Rubbing my hands together to restore feeling

Oddly, the most simple solution is the only one I haven't tried: step outside on my break and soak up the warm-wet-towel feeling.

Sigh - I wish the fruit season down here weren't over already. All the berries are over and done with due to the heat. So is our basil plant. The next thing to be in season down here will likely be pecans, which won't be until November. And my lucky-bum friends out Utah-way will just be starting to enjoy peaches!

I must find myself a more productive pastime than griping.

Gonna go eat, then maybe sew a bit! Hope all's well elsewhere and otherwise.

Cold in Texas during the summer? How odd. Well, I guess I get cold at my store too sometimes.

Yep, every place in TX seems air conditioned to the point of being polar.

Yes, I do believe about being cold in Texas during the summer. And peaches? *hides all her pits from eating Allred's stash via Hillary* What peaches?
